Abstract

High-transparency optical limiters: A series of solution-processable white metallopolyynes are shown to be excellent optical power limiters (see picture) with optimized optical transparency/non-linearity trade-off. They exhibit an optical-limiting performance superior to those of the common reverse saturable absorption dyes, such as C60 and metal phthalocyanine complexes. (Figure Presented).
