Abstract

This personal essay is divided into two parts. In the first, I will share my observations about politics and literature, and their, at times, complicated intersection and relationship. In the second part, I will share my experience of writing political poems, making reference to poems that I have written over the past few years. I should note before I go any further, however, that this discussion is by no means exhaustive of all aspects of political writing. And it is structured more as a series of thoughts than as a formal argument, reflecting the fact that my research on this subject is still a work in progress.
