Abstract

This paper addresses the speed and accuracy problems in human face recognition. Wavelet transform is adopted to decompose an image and a particular frequency band is selected for PCA for face recognition. Experimental results show that the proposed method is better than the original PCA method in terms of both speed and accuracy.
