Abstract

The region of Jiangnan historically has rich in cultural resources and ambiance where has been a gathering place for literates. During this study tour, we visited Hangzhou, Huangshan, Suzhou, and Shanghai. In addition to exploring cultural landmarks, we engaged in in-depth exchanges with local scholars, artists, and cultural workers. The term of “ren” (仞) originally refers to an ancient unit of measurement, where “thousand ren” (千仞) symbolizes great height or depth. This exhibition, titled “Thousand Heights” (千千仞) signifies that our vision is not just limited in height and depth, but infinitely expansive.
