Abstract

A series of polydisperse amphiphilic α,α-linked sexithiophenes with an oligoethylene oxide substituent at one terminal α-position and a hydrogen atom or a hexyl group at the other have been synthesised via Stille and Suzuki cross coupling reactions. The products have been characterised by a combination of ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectroscopy and detailed MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry.
