Abstract

This paper aims at examining the implementation of enterprise e-banking services in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Extending the theory of reasoned action and the theory of planned behavior, we propose a conceptual model and several hypotheses to articulate key determinants and causality of enterprise e-banking services. The empirical results unveil that trustworthiness, utilitarian value, and usability have significant effects on satisfaction and continuance intention, while satisfaction and continuance intention significantly mediate the relationships between these determinants and continuance use of enterprise e-banking services. This study makes important contributions to research and practice, because the empirically-grounded findings not only advance the understanding of enterprise e-banking services by validating the causal effects and interrelationships of the relevant constructs, but also have implications for enhancing enterprise e-banking services and other forms of innovative business-to-business e-services.
