Abstract

The interaction of C₇H₈Cr(CO)₄ with one equivalent of N,N′-bis [o-(diphenylphosphino)benzylidene]ethylenediamine (P₂N₂) gives the complex [cis- (CO)₄Cr]₂(P₂N₂)in high yield. The compound has C_i symmetry and has been fully characterized by analytical, spectroscopic and X-ray diffraction methods.
