Abstract
The chiral copper(II) and gallium(III) complexes of a triazatris(phenylphosphinic acid) ligand have very similar structures: the anionic copper complex possesses C3 symmetry, shows no Jahn-Teller distortion at 293 K nor at 123 K and is resistant to protonation.
