Abstract

A series of donor-acceptor conjugated chromophores containing tricyanovinyl acceptors, amino donors, and bithiophene-stilbene conjugating films has been designed. A concise synthesis of these chromophores has been developed, the key step being the introduction of the CH2PO(OEt)2 group to bithiophene in a one-pot, reaction. Compounds 1-3 have been characterized by 1H- and 13C-NMR, and EI-MS.
