Abstract

The interaction of RuCl2(DMSO)4 with 1 equivalent of 1R,2R-cyclohexyl-P2N2 and 1R,2R-cyclohexyl-P2N2H4 in refluxing toluene gave trans-RuC2(1R,2R-cyclohexyl-P2N2) (I) and trans-RuCl2(1R,2R-cyclohexyl-P2N2H4) (II) in 80% and 75% yields, respectively. Compounds I and II have been fully characterized by analytical and spectroscopic methods. The structure of II has been established by an X-ray diffraction study.
