Sub-wavelength Plasmon Solitons in 1D Arrays of Coupled Metallic Nanowires

Abstract

We present the first theoretical study of sub-wavelength plasmon solitons formed in arrays of metallic nanowires. We demonstrate that the plasmonic arrays support unstaggered and staggered solitons, which can be effectively excited from Gaussian beams.
