Abstract

Hong Kong is an eclectic metropolis and nothing represents this more than the spaces between structures. Narrow alleyways, awkward corners, high rise residencies and a collage of signs. This deserves a shrine, a celebration and place of worship. “Street Scene Dream” is designed as the presentation of radically distinct shapes and layers throughout time. Like the rings inside a tree, miles of skyline radiate different eras of Hong Kong history; projection mapping displays morphing of various periods and ripples of time. “Street Scene Dream” will serve as a timelapse of the evolution of the city streets of Hong Kong transporting the viewer into a fast forward view of an immersive world, turning a sleep walk into a sweet dream.
