N2 - In this talk, I will report the discovery of airborne transverse sound that can carry both spin and orbital angular momentum. I will show that the spin-orbit interactions of the transverse sound can give rise to novel phenomena inaccessible to conventional acoustic systems, including acoustic-activity-induced negative refraction and spin-dependent vortex generation in sound scattering.
