Abstract

Five dithiocarbamates (DTC) (butyl-, diethyl-, dimethyl-, octyl- and pyrrolidine-1-dithiocarbamates) are simultaneously determined by capillary electrophoresis (CE) with diode array detection. Three DTCs were completely separated by CE, but two (butyl- and diethyl-DTC) gave overlapping peaks which could be resolved by heuristic evolving latent projections. All compounds gave linear calibration graphs up to 50 μg ml-1, with 3σ detection limits in the 0.1-1 μg ml-1 range.
