Abstract

The interaction of PdCl2(PhCN)2 with (S)-N,N′;-bis[2-(diphenylphosphino)benzylidene]-2,2′-diimino-l, 1′-binaphthylene (S)-L′ and (S,S′)-N,N′-bis[2-(diphenylphosphino)benzy lidene]-1,2-diimino-1,2-diphenylethane (S,S′)-L2 gave the dimeric complex {PdCl[2-(Ph2P)C6H4CH=N]}2 1 and the dinuclear complex {ci5-PdCl2[2-(Ph2P)C6H4CH= NCH(Ph)CH(C6H4PPh2-2)=NC6H 4(PPh2)-2]PdCl} {Cl} 2, respectively, whose structures were ascertained by X-ray crystallography.
