Abstract
A novel renormalization approach to the heteropolymer binding, focusing on the non-Gaussian statistics of rare attractive segments that initiated the transition was reported. Binding initiated at an exponentially rare set of `good contacts', in the strongly disordered regime. A Kosterlitz-Thouless-type transition in any dimension was yielded due to renormalization of the contact potential.
