    Abstract

Based on field studies, I argue that firms that establish strategic alliances should pay greater attention to the issue of procedural justice (PJ) in new product introduction (NPI). Moreover, I posit that the relationship between PJ and NPI is mediated by cross-functional integration (CFI). Finally, their strategy for NPI moderates the relationship between CFI and NPI. Analyzing data from multiple sources in China, I obtain evidence in support of these arguments, finding PJ to exert a positive effect on NPI, and CFI and NPI strategy to exert a partial mediating effect and moderating effect, respectively.
