    Abstract

    This presentation will display traces of polishing and engraving on bronze surfaces from China before 100 BCE, arguing that some traces might be left from abrasives employed in practices of lapidary craftsmanship. Skills of lapidary and post-processing of cast bronze objects were interrelated.

    公元前100年之前的青铜器铸造后处理技术尚未被仔细研究过。如何抛光和雕刻坚硬的青铜表面,仍然是个谜题。学者们通常认为青铜器上的雕刻是依靠铁器,但这样的结论较为草率,仍需要进一步研究。本次报告会展示青铜表面的抛光和雕刻痕迹,指出部分痕迹可能是运用于宝石工艺的磨料留下的。宝石雕刻工艺和青铜器铸造的后处理工艺是相互关联的。
