Abstract

After in situ derivatization to a dithiocarbonate (xanthate) in a carbon disulphide-aqueous sodium hydroxide two-phase system under phase-transfer catalysis conditions, a primary or secondary alcohol can be determined spectrophotometrically 300 nm.
