    Abstract

This chapter juxtaposes the conceptual theme of online collaborative translation (OCT) with the critical debate in platform studies, pursuing three major objectives: 1) to provide conceptual clarity surrounding OCT; 2) to identify OCT's position in the current 'platform society'; and 3) to interrogate the platform society's socio-economic ramifications with regard to translation.
