Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

A progress report on an international cooperative project, initiated in 1990, to produce a five-volume biographical dictionary of "representative women throughout Chinese history" in Chinese and English editions. The 'Biographical Dictionary of Chinese Women' will be similar in style to reputable biographical dictionaries, e.g., 'Eminent Chinese of the Ch'ing Period' and 'Biographical Dictionary of Republican China,' which predominantly cover men. The first volume on the Qing dynasty is currently being prepared for publication.
