Abstract
Every day, we acquire and part ways with dozens, if not hundreds, of various objects—from disposable bags and packaging to old bicycles and unused chairs. Can we even imagine how many items pass through our hands over a lifetime?
In their joint creative project, the New Vocal Music Collective “Melos” and Ensemble “Vertixe Sonora” present a program that reflects on our consumption habits and the challenges they bring. In the concert, familiar instruments and vocal parts are complemented by various everyday items, tools, and discarded objects. These items are reborn and take on new meanings in the music of today’s creators.
