Abstract
Counterintuitive effects of noise on phase synchronization of coupled chaotic oscillators with different natural frequencies were studied. Experiments were carried out with two weakly coupled chaotic electrochemical oscillators. The reaction used was the electrodissolution of nickel in sulfuric acid solution. Results indicated that noise played a constructive role in the enhancement of phase synchronization of weakly coupled chaotic oscillators.
