Abstract
How do we navigate discussions and interactions on social media amidst deep disagreements? In the rapidly evolving technological, social, and cultural environments in Hong Kong Christian communities, the narrative about social media has mostly been in terms of allowing for nobodies to shape the landscape of theology and community practice. But how is this conducive to productive or transformative interactions, given the toxicity of the narrative on the platform? We explore ways in which Hong Kong Christian communities may enter into more of a dialectical approach to diversity on social media, given existing challenges to hierarchies within community structures.
