Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C17H19FN2O5·H2O, contains two N′-(4-fluoro-benzo-yl)-3,4,5-trimethoxy-benzohydrazide molecules and two water mol-ecules. It is an important inter-mediate for the synthesis of biologically active heterocyclic compounds. The dihedral angles between the planar aromatic rings of the two mol-ecules are 65.52 (3) and 68.48 (3)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N - H⋯O and O - H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules to form a supra-molecular structure.
