Abstract

From the aerial parts of Stachys byzantina, two new megastigmane glucosides, byzantionosides A and B, were isolated, together with the known glycosides, icariside B₂, blumeol C glucoside, (6R, 9R)- and (6R, 9S)-3-oxo-α-ionol glucosides and verbascoside. The structures of the new compounds have been elucidated by spectroscopic means.
