Abstract
The control of the dynamics of atomic decay process by the application of a series of 2π pulses was discussed. The 2π pulse interruption is a unitary evolution and does not lead to the wavefunction collapse. It was found that the system could exhibit slow and fast atomic decay by suitable tailoring of the density of states of the reservoir.
