    Abstract

Technology has become an increasingly popular subject of philosophical and ethical reflection in recent years, but the philosophical and ethical analysis of technology proceeds predominately with the Western philosophical traditions. In the Introduction, the authors first account for the rising popularity of technology in philosophy and ethics, and then defend the need of a multicultural turn, i.e., to diversify philosophy and ethics of technology. In doing so, the authors situate the project of Confucian ethics of technology within the multiculturalism of philosophy and ethics of technology. Finally, the authors end the Introduction with an overview of the six chapters and the epilogue in the volume.
