Abstract

Harpsichord continuo performance in concert titled 'From Baroque to Beatles', with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, with Valentina Vacas (soprano), conducted by Fayçal Karoui, Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall, Hong Kong (27 and 28 May 2022). Programme of 25 minutes with harpsichord continuo includes Jean-Philippe Rameau’s ‘Un horizon serein’ from Les Boréades, Chaconne from Les Indes galantes, Prélude ‘Formons les plus brillants concerts’ and ariette ‘Aux languerus d’Apollon’ (Air de la folie) from Platée, and ‘Michelle, Ma Belle’ from Beatles Songs (for harpsichord, 2 flutes and soprano) by Luciano Berio.
