Abstract

We show that the binary information masked by low dimensional chaos with the encoding method proposed by Parlitz and Ergezinger [Phys. Lett. A 188 (1994) 146] can be extracted with very simple methods, even though the channel noise level is rather high. The security of communication approaches using chaotic dynamics is generally discussed.
