    Abstract

Due to the impersonal nature of the online environment, the impact of trust on online transaction has been broadly examined. Contrary to prior researches that focused on interpersonal trust, this study separates trust in third parties, specifically intermediaries in the case of online auction, from interpersonal trust. Moreover, the study analyzes the more comprehensive effect of trust in online marketplace with distinctive levels of trust and its moderator effect in online transaction.
