Abstract
The community exhibition, funded by the "Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF) Nature Connection: First Steps into Nature – Biodiversity Explorer" project, took place from July 19 to August 1, 2024, at Hong Kong Times Square. It showcased award-winning artworks from the territory-wide drawing competition, along with interactive game booths and storytelling activities, attracting 4,175 visitors.
The project adopts an exploratory, play-based, multi-sensory pedagogical approach with an emphasis on local biodiversity in environmental education activities. Its goal is to raise awareness and promote understanding of local biodiversity and the natural environment among primary and kindergarten students, as well as their teachers and parents.
The exhibition successfully introduced the diversity of local animals and plants to the community.
