Abstract

We report systematic investigation on the enhancement of the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of perovskite based solar cells (PSCs). We have studied, in detailed, the impact of thermal annealing in dry O2 ambient on the performance of devices. Our studies indicated strong dependencies of the optoelectronic properties of the CH3NH3PbI3 materials. Photothermal deflection spectroscopic measurements performed on the material indicate significant changes in the bandgap states in the CH3NH3PbI3 thin films subsequent to the. Experimental results based on systematic variation of the annealing process show that a thermally activated passivation of defect states in the perovskite material and the perovskite/spiro interface.
