Abstract
The effect of CO on CO 2 hydrogenation over Cu/Zn/Al/Zr quaternary catalyst was studied. The result showed that when CO was added to the raw gas, the methanol selectivity and yield increased. TPSR-MS spectra indicated that the pre-adsorption of CO on the catalyst could depress the reverse water-gas shift reaction from CO 2 hydrogenation, and thus be beneficial to the production of methanol.
