Abstract

This study employs a multifaceted methodological approach to unpack the dynamics of public discourse around COVID-19 vaccines and the context-sensitive relationship between moral foundations and vaccine attitudes across two platforms: Reddit and HK Discuss. Through community detection and analysis of moral foundation expressions within these discourses, we reveal the echo chamber effects and moral foundation of different narrative modes on these platforms, with HK Discuss emphasizing media-driven discussions and r/CovidVaccinated focusing on personal experiences.
