Abstract

This exhibition project was supported by HKADC project grant. It intends to explore the interdisciplinary nature of drawing in contemporary art. Twenty one artists participating in this exhibition who are not only renowned artists but also experienced teachers in local art institutions. They take drawing as a starting point and probes into its relationship with other mediums. In addition to presenting an exhibition of artworks and publishing a catalogue, the project includes a series of video interviews with artists that explain the thinking behind their works in order to reaffirm the crucial role of drawing in the creative process.
