Abstract

Updated and relevant information retrieving is a critical factor for the success of a knowledge-based system for E-service intelligence. In this chapter, we demonstrate the methodologies as well as technical details on developing a knowledge-based intelligent services system in sports Websites to gain competitive advantages. Under the proposed framework, data integration and processing are automatically performed while effective and easy use of data across the organization is achieved. As an intelligent application, we demonstrate how the system can provide timely services through visitors' dynamic patterns during ongoing sports events. Since the Websites can spend less time responding to users' requests, management efficiency is improved and then more time can be spent on making informed decisions and developing advanced business intelligence and risk management applications based on the system.
