Abstract

A method for the preparation of scientific documents incorporating both texts and chemistry-oriented graphics such as structural formulae and chemical apparatus was described. A commercially available graphic package was modified to provide templates of basic symbols for the preparation of chemical structures, apparatus and other pictorial diagrams. A technical document processing package was used to merge the graphics with the text. The templates are included in disk subdirectory TEMPLATE.
