Abstract
The theater director Danny Yung, of Zuni Icosahedron, has created a series of experimental xiqu (Chinese operas) in which the traditional theatrical form is reworked within the framework of avant-garde minimalism. These productions have been turned into the performers' personal psychological journeys back to their collective history. The shows have become records of their journeys, with the Hong Kong audience as their witness.
