Abstract
The integration of Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) with Crowdsensing has the potential to significantly improve the efficiency and security of large-scale data collection. NB-IoT, a key technology in the IoT ecosystem, excels in applications requiring wide coverage and long battery life. When combined with Crowdsensing, which gathers real-time data using users' devices, it can address critical urban and environmental challenges. This paper explores strategies to optimize data collection and transmission in NB-IoT-based Crowdsensing, emphasizing low-power operation, network architecture, and edge computing. It also introduces a security model featuring homomorphic encryption to ensure data confidentiality and integrity. The study concludes that while NB-IoT is beneficial for Crowdsensing, its limitations, such as incompatibility with mobile devices and slower data transmission, limit its use to scenarios with low mobility requirements.
