Research output: Contribution to conferenceConference paperpeer-review

Abstract

Nature can provide boundless opportunities for children’s holistic development and joyful learning. Children learn through their senses of touch, smell, listen, taste, and seeing in the open environment. The Early Childhood and Elementary Education Division, School of Continuing Education, Hong Kong Baptist University, was commissioned by the Education Bureau in 2017 to design a Learning & Teaching (L&T) Activity package for kindergarten teachers' use at the two selected sites , which aligns with the learning objectives of the “Nature and Living” domain covered in the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide (2017) from the Curriculum Development Council. Activities are designed to enable children to explore freely, interact with the nature through multiple senses, cultivate and foster their curiosity and explorative minds. Children will develop better understanding and nurture the values and attitude in appreciation and caring of the nature.
