Abstract
Between Wor(l)ds: Hong Kong Poetry of Exile and Hope bridges cultures through the powerful verses of refugees and asylum seekers who have made Hong Kong their temporary home. This groundbreaking bilingual anthology, born from a collaboration between Hong Kong Baptist University translation students and refugee poets, transforms personal narratives of displacement, loss, and resilience into poetry that transcends linguistic and cultural boundaries. As these intimate stories flow from English into Chinese, they weave new threads into Hong Kong's multicultural fabric, creating pathways for voices that might otherwise remain unheard. More than a collection of poems, this volume stands as a testament to human resilience and the transformative power of words to build understanding across invisible divides.
