Abstract

This paper presents a new eye detection method for human face recognition. The proposed method consists of three parts namely, head boundary detection, iris detection and eye boundary detection. The main contributions of this paper are on the head boundary detection and iris detection. Deformable template is adopted in the eye boundary detection. A number of images are selected to evaluate the capability of the proposed method and the results are encouraging.
