Abstract

We analyzes energy consumption, emissions and pollutants concentrations in PRD region. The responses of air pollutants to emission controls of NOx, VOCs and NH3 are investigated. Reducing NOx emissions results in reduction of regional PM2 5 but might increase PM2.5 in certain area. Controlling NH3 emission is effective in reducing PM2 5 in PRD. Cutting VOCs emission benefits the reduction of overall 03 and reducing NOx emission in the afternoon can reduce peak 03.
