Abstract

This chapter examines the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and the future of language interpreting, in particular AI‑empowered interpreting tool design. Introducing a technè-Ge‑stell-poiēsis philosophical framework that traces the evolution of AI and its relationship to interpreting, the study illustrates how those theoretical insights are embedded into the development of Enter‑Link, which, built upon substantial interpreted speech datasets, offers a pioneering digital solution that leverages AI and big data to transform real‑time language services. Theoretical insights about AI and interpreting shaped the system’s design rationale and interface components. This theory‑driven, data‑informed approach both anchors Enter‑Link in interpreting practice and equips it to respond to the evolving AI landscape, illustrating the transformative potential of principled digital solutions for the future of language interpreting.
