Description: This panel discussed the vibrant contributions of young artists, curators and academics to the ever-changing realm of contemporary art in Asia. As the region experiences significant shifts influenced by both local traditions and global trends, the younger generation is emerging as a force for change. Featuring insights from Art Futures Awardees and notable guests such as Kurt Chan, Andreas Kratky, Cissie Fu, Janet Fong and Zoe Chan, the discussion will examine how young artists are expanding the horizons of artistic expression, tackling cultural intricacies, and adopting cutting-edge technologies.

The conversation will also explore the distinct challenges confronting the next wave of creatives, from harmonizing tradition with the Post- digital world to overcoming obstacles in securing institutional backing, resources, and international recognition. In doing so, the panel will underscore the core role that young innovators play in redefining art practices, curatorial approaches, and institutional structures throughout Asia.
