Abstract
Bringing together mechanical engineering, audio synthesis, and performance installation, Samuel Swope’s Aeolian Rider invited viewers to engage with movement, sound, and space. Co-presented with PHD Group for Supper Club 2025, the performance featured four professional vocalists singing and screaming into an array of industrial fans. Real-time data captured from the industrial fans was mapped to digital audio synthesis as an accompaniment to the vocalists.
