Adopting effective portfolio-based assessment: An integrative approach

    Abstract

    In this article, Ricky Lam demonstrates how he effectively adopted portfolio-based assessment to evaluate students' English proficiency in a holistic manner. The approach used is to link four assessment tasks together and ask students to show evidence of their learning by means of the writing portfolio.
