Hello, World Home!
XR Installation
Kachi Chan, Wingshan Wong
Hello, World Home! is a speculative art project exploring data capitalism, artificial life, and the fusion of physical and digital realms. It critiques identity commodification and decentralized data systems like World ID, visualizing personal data as autonomous digital life forms.
The project consists of The Transmitter—an AI camera that removes human figures from real-world imagery to create a fragmented, humanless landscape—and The Portal, an immersive XR space where users interact with digital entities in a disorienting feedback loop. Developed in Gwangju, South Korea, a city known for democracy and resistance, it contrasts historical struggles with modern algorithmic governance, urging reflection on autonomy and identity in a data-driven world.
