N2 - Based on light-scattering properties of graphene which possesses linear electronic band structure, we formulated a theoretical approach to study the optical properties of metamaterials made by patterning a graphene. The theory was applied to study various graphene-based MTMs, with predictions (with no adjustable parameters) for a particular system in excellent agreement with previous experiments.
